The last entry was too angry. Need to remind myself of the happy events that happened around me. So in no particular order, here it goes:
1. The most recent one was Eason Chan's concert last night. Though slightly marred by a rather dull audience, especially those in my block, Eason's more than entertaining performance made up for everything. His wacky hosting, heavily rehearsed fanciful dance moves and heart-wrenching hit ballads delivered through his soothing vocals saved the day. Not to mention the tix were complimentary, courtesy of one my friend's mom :)
2. I just joined a gym a couple of weeks back. It's more than a year since I hit the gym so can imagine the tiredness and numbness that set in after the 1st 2 sessions. Man, I really feel that my arms are going to break. And the PT's rather fierce too. But the fees are kinda steep, and I've already 'sold' myself for 13 months, so no way I'm going to give in that easily. Oh, did I mention they have in-house spa massage and lounge as well? :D
3. 2 KTV sessions in a month! Haven't done that in a long time, haha... And this was the first time I sang the late night session, i.e. 11pm - 3am. Friday night mah! Quite high, maybe it's because the gang that night was a fun-loving one and partially because once the body gets past the normal sleeping hour, you'll feel a reverse flow of high energy flowing in your body bah! Anyway, who cares? I just wanna sing what I want!! :O
4. Another friend of mine got married last week, the 3rd in 3 months. Yet another had proposed successfully, now already starting to make arrangements. Both of them were my NS mates. The groom was quite capable and effective, I must say, 'coz he practically just used slightly over a month's work to put everything together. And the outcome was pretty decent for the effort. Good job, WJ! ;)
5. Managed to catch 'The Dark Knight' finally. It was definitely well-worth the ticket price (unlike 'Hancock' which simply fell flat). Heath Ledger's ingenious take on the sinister Joker was as creepy as it was seen in the trailer. Though some of my gal friends thought the 153 minutes was a bit 'law-saw', I personally didn't feel the length as I thought the twists and turns in the plot was pretty well-done, and not overcooked. Most of the audience were males, as expected.
