Ramblings 乱记 1, 2, 3

As you may have noticed, the transformation of this blog is finally complete!!! YEAH! But...

Not before I got wakened up by a phone call early this rainy morning for a RT stint at SA, only to be struck off once again when I told them I could not make it in time.

Well, they called up at 7am and expected me to report by 7.50am, i.e. 50 min to freshen up, have breakfast, get dressed, dash out and squeeze through the morning mad (and WET!) traffic rush. After I told them I might only get in after 8, the guy said he would check with the HOD and get back to me. Well, HE NEVER DID.

I instinctively called back about 15min later to check. Another lady told me that it was off -- they've already got another fella to do it. Who knows how long I have to wait if I hadn't called??? So irresponsible of them, right? :(

Anyway, I also want to say I loved David Cook's take on Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby" on AI7 last week. Like Simon said, it was a breath of fresh air after a series of rather karaoke singing by the contestants before him (but hey, I liked David A's "When You Believe" as well -- much like a younger Josh Groban). For me, it was like Blake Lewis doing Bon Jovi's "You Give Love A Bad Name" last season. 2 very different interpretations but equally outstanding renditions that struck a chord in me.



Oh, and it's Earth Day today! Don't forget to do your part as well. E.g turn on the fan but not the air-con at home, don't log in to your terminals for too long and create lesser rubbish today :)
